Protected Affordable Housing

General Info

The Amigour company, a subsidiary of The Jewish Agency, has launched housing development projects in various locations across the country. At the same time, the city of Arad is promoting urban renewal projects in older neighborhoods that have been in existence since the 1960s.

One of the challenges faced by the periphery in urban renewal projects is the low land values and the difficulty of implementing projects under National Outline Plan 38. To tackle this challenge, the Arad municipality has allowed the use of public land.

Our office was approached by Amigour company to submit an architectural proposal for the renovation of an existing assisted living facility in Arad City. The proposal includes strengthening the building, expanding it, and adding floors, all within the guidelines of the National Outline Plan 38.
In addition, we worked with the Arad municipality to obtain approval and support for urban renewal throughout the complex. The plan involves replacing a small family health center with a residential tower. These new housing units will be targeted towards students and young couples.
