Ashdod Train Station Renovation

General Info

Israel Railways is currently in the process of enhancing the Ashdod Ad-Halom Station. The station, which first opened in 2003, has become known for its overcrowding issues and bottlenecked passenger traffic at its entrances and exits.

To address these challenges, the upgrade includes expanding the passenger hall, renovating the waiting area outside, and refurbishing services, ticket counters, restrooms, and a rest area for supervisors.

Furthermore, an underground passage that connects the island platform to the station building is being improved, and a previously inaccessible pedestrian bridge above the platform is being redeveloped to benefit passengers. Additionally, extra protected space is added for passengers arriving from the platform.

Implementation of the Montessori Method: In addition to classrooms, the school features various dedicated spaces for excellence, leadership, and social engagement, in line with the Montessori method.
