East Park in Rishon Le-Zion

General Info

The guiding principles for The East Park of Rishon Le-Zion focus on creating a green central hub in the heart of the “Eastern Neighborhood”. Our proposal aims to improve place-making, including features like a modular skate park, open fountains, shared workspaces, and temporary climbing walls.

Additionally, the plan involves establishing a social-cultural sports center to reinforce the local population’s sense of identity, featuring an urban lounge, a family center, and a new community hub. The existing commercial center will be revitalized while emphasizing high-quality commercial activities.

Focal points of interest within the area will be identified and strengthened through public squares, an amphitheater, a skate park, and various sports and leisure functions, making the area pedestrian and bicycle-friendly. Additional parking spaces will serve the community center, children’s gardens, and the future school, with a commitment to preserving land for a future school incorporating sports fields and adapted sports facilities.

The approach centers on creating a versatile park with multiple functions, connecting green spaces to the core park area, including a skate park, and incorporating sustainable features like green roofs, an ecological pool, and local Mediterranean flora.
