Our main aim was to create a distinctive identity for Rishon as a destination city. We employed three strategies: reinforcing existing elements, introducing new vitality, and creating a prominent landmark.
To reinforce what already exists, we enhanced the dune landscapes and berms, creating a green park with elevated berms as green gates. Underneath, simple structures offer a variety of uses. The completion site acts as a pivotal point for Rishon’s growth, connecting the city’s four quarters and serving as a metropolitan gateway.Expanding on existing infrastructure, we added elevated bike lanes, paths, and a tram station to connect all sectors of Rishon and activate the green park.
Introducing new life, the green berms accommodate a range of services, transforming Rishon into a 21st-century city with sports facilities, markets, parking, cinemas, and more.
As a prominent landmark, an impressive tall tower serves as a symbol of arrival. Integrated with gardens, kindergartens, and stormwater management, the tower offers mixed-use spaces for residences, workspaces, and retail. It becomes a defining feature that showcases Rishon’s ambition and provides a unique identity to the city. The project serves as a multi-level urban connector, harmonizing the four quarters and integrating the train station. It acts as a green gateway for Rishon’s south-north axis and connects the city center to the sea shore. Additionally, it addresses future transportation needs, promoting public transportation as an alternative to private cars and serving as a gateway to the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan region.
