The inspiration to our strategy for the reassembly of the triangle of Herzliya, came from the theoretical work of vigano et secchi suggesting “The Pore City”. “The Pore City”, is a divided, undefined tissue, that its permeability allows its re-construction, with respect and thoughtfulness to the ground, the people and the environment.
In the center of the plan we located the diagonal – the old route of the landing strip which cross the organized orthogonal array to the infinity, where in the end the sky and the sea get together. In this way, we maintain the memory of the “existing” by making it to a – grand canal – remarking the most valuable component that the site can offer in its symbolic level – the union between the sea and the sky.
This project was though very carefully as a unifying project between its neighbors – the center of Herzliya, Ra’anana and Kfar Shmariahu, and created a new heart to connect these three through a potential intensive and dynamic city. The project offers intense, high quality urban environment, a collection of variety of usages, populations, textures and user experience. 15,000 residential units, employment, commerce, education centers and urban parks. An area that enjoys the proximity of metropolitan parks, public transportation and inter-city roads, the historic center of herzliya and idc and in a short distance the sea.
